Reports around Spain are that the Spaniard has lost most of his career earnings in a bad investment made by his father José Manuel Valdés and his brothers, and now has a debt amounting up to 7.3 million, as confirmed by Spanish website Diario Gol. Valdes and his family owned six real estate companies and a sport agent firm called Rivial Inversiones SL which had Valdes’ father, José Manuel as their main executive. According to many sources, none of these investments bore any fruit, leaving them with a large debt.
The situation has worsened for Valdes to so much extent that he had to put his beach-house at Gava up for sale, even ever its construction was completed.
Knowing the portfolio of players Monaco has on its pay slip, Valdes was keen on moving to the club where he could have been offered a large chunk of money in terms of salary, which would have come as an aid to his debt-ridden family.

我记得当年媒体报道过，苏比在刚巴谈续约的时候，对刚巴说：你离开了，就再也别想回来了。
这是导致刚巴拒绝续约谈判的重要原因，后来好像苏比公开对媒体承认他和刚巴谈的时候犯了错误
刚巴肯定是对高层有意见的，当时有意见的不止他一个。
小白续约也拖了很久，我记得好像报道过也是对高层有意见
不过当时确实也有报道，刚巴续约没谈拢，最开始是因为加薪续约的问题。
后来则是被苏比的那番话激怒了。。。
