Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett defended the player in an interview with the Telegraph, insisting that the Welsh winger would perform much better if his team mates passed the ball to him more often. “Real have to work with Gareth and pass the ball to him more. Give him more of the ball and let him show everybody what he’s good at. He’s going to be the best player at Real Madrid when his team-mates work with him and help him. Hopefully Real will come to terms with this” Barnett insisted.
The agent based his argument on statistics plucked from UEFA in which Bale was the Madrid player to have covered the most ground during last week’s first leg against Juventus, which have Bale covering an average of 113 metres per minute, compared to the 101 metres per minute by Cristiano. “We’ve been vindicated by these statistics and it’s what we’ve been saying all along,” Barnett continued. “It proves that people don’t know what they’re talking about when they criticize Gareth, they are not looking at it properly.
“I’m very upset that professional pundits don’t realize these facts. Instead of criticizing, they should look at it more closely because it’s plain to see when you watch the games” he added.
Barnett also believes that Bale has every right to voice his discontent to the coach but instead, he has decided to keep his head down and continue working. “Most people would have been broken by this but he is determined,” he said. “He could have screamed and shouted or knocked on the manager’s office door but he doesn’t want to upset anyone. I spoke to him on Thursday and while he’s obviously p------ off things aren’t going well he is desperate to get out there again.”
Bale is so strong-willed, says his agent, that he is determined to prove his detractors wrong. “Every top club in the world would want to sign him but he will be at Real Madrid next season,” he said. “There’s no way he is going anywhere in the summer. When we said he always wanted to play for Real, it was 100 per cent true and he’s determined to be a success there”.作者: niuwlx 时间: 2015-5-11 00:28

Gareth Bale’s career at Real Madrid is suffering because his team-mates are not passing to him, the player’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, said on Saturday night.
Bale, the world’s most expensive footballer, was criticised for his display in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Juventus last Tuesday, when he made fewer passes than most of his team?mates. Yet official Uefa statistics showed that he covered more ground than many of those team-mates, suggesting he is being starved of the ball by other Real players.
Pundits Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Lee Dixon were all critical of the Wales winger, 25, but Barnett rounded on those critics, pointing to the fact that Bale covered an average of 113 metres per minute, more than five team-mates including Cristiano Ronaldo (101) yet had only 32 touches of the ball.

“We’ve been vindicated by these statistics and it’s what we’ve been saying all along,” Barnett told Telegraph Sport. “It proves that people don’t know what they’re talking about when they criticise Gareth, they are not looking at it properly.
“Real have to work with Gareth and pass the ball to him more. Give him more of the ball and let him show everybody what he’s good at. He’s going to be the best player at Real Madrid when his team-mates work with him and help him. Hopefully Real will come to terms with this.
“I’m very upset that professional pundits don’t realise these facts. Instead of criticising, they should look at it more closely because it’s plain to see when you watch the games.”
? Real would be mad to sell Bale to Manchester United
Barnett said that only Bale’s temperament had prevented the player from complaining in person to Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager.

Man Utd have been linked with a move for Bale this summer
“Most people would have been broken by this but he is determined,” he said. “He could have screamed and shouted or knocked on the manager’s office door but he doesn’t want to upset anyone. I spoke to him on Thursday and while he’s obviously p------ off things aren’t going well he is desperate to get out there again.”
Bale’s difficult season has cast his Madrid future into doubt, with Manchester United and Chelsea said to be considering bids to bring him back to the Premier League this summer.
However, Ancelotti has remained firmly behind Bale and Barnett insisted that a potential move was not even a possibility this year.

Gareth Bale"s Real Madrid team-mates" refusal to pass to him regularly in games is behind the Welshman"s slumping form, according to his agent.
The Wales international has scored in just two of his past 18 Real outings, one of which saw his early strike dwarfed by Cristiano Ronaldo"s five-goal haul in a 9-1 destruction of Granada.
Bale has come in for criticism from all quarters, with pundits and Real fans alike venting frustration at his recent performances.

Real face a huge uphill battle to overhaul Barcelona at the top of La Liga and need to overturn a first-leg deficit to Juventus in order to reach the UEFA Champions League final.
But Bale"s representative Jonathan Barnett said involving the world"s most expensive player more in games could be the answer, rather than criticising his lack of impact.

Though Bale seems far from content with how life in Spain is treating him at the moment, Barnett played down rumours linking his client with a big-money return to the Premier League in the coming months.
