马塔周记：提前祝大家圣诞快乐
马塔周记，每周一期。有了马塔蜀黍，麻麻再也不用担心我的英语了。嗨小伙伴们大家好，
正如上周所说，我们不喜欢活在过去的比赛中，我们想做的就是专注于接下来的挑战。我们本周获得的两场胜利证明了球队有能力和个性延续这条道路，向前迈进，而不是当事情不顺利的时候怨天尤人。
As we said a week ago, we didn’t feel like remembering past games. All we wanted to do was to focus on the next challenges. The two wins that we got this week show that the team has the ability and the character to keep walking its path, moving forward instead of moaning when things don’t go the way we wanted.
首先，我们在伯恩茅斯赢下了一场艰难的比赛，拿到了三分。他们让我们踢得很难受，但是这在英超联赛很常见，在这里你在每场比赛都必须要经历一些困难。关键就是要克服它们，创造赢球的机会，当然也是你最终必须要把握住的机会。这就是我们做到的事，也给予了我们很大的信心来面对一周内的第二场比赛，对手是西布朗。这又是一场复杂棘手的比赛，尽管卢卡库和林加德的精彩进球让我们在上半场保持领先，但是我们直到终场哨响后才算真正终结比赛。
Firstly we got the three points in a really tough game at Bournemouth. They made it hard for us but that’s no news in the Premier League, where you know that you will have to go through some difficulties in every single game. The key is to get over them and to create your chances to win, chances that you eventually have to take, of course. That’s what we did and it gave us a lot of confidence to face the second match of the week against West Bromwich Albion. It was another complex and tough game, and we couldn’t close it until the final whistle despite taking the lead in the first half with two nice goals from Romelu and Jesse.
我知道这听上去像是陈词滥调，但是一个月内要踢9场比赛，你的目标就是绝对专注于下一场比赛，用最大的职业精神和效率赢下它。当然，你也应该努力享受每一场比赛，不过这个关键月份里最重要的事就是为这场赛程马拉松做好体力和精神的充足准备。
It may sound like a cliché, but in a month with nine fixtures to play, your goal is to stay absolutely focused on the next game, in order to win it with the utmost professionalism and effectiveness. For sure, you should always try to enjoy every game, but the most important thing in this crucial month is to be physically and mentally ready for the marathon of fixtures.
这周我们也是一周双赛，还有啥比赛？我们周三要在联赛杯中对阵布里斯托城。他们这个赛季在英冠踢得风生水起，最近还取得了好几场连胜，他们证明了自己是升级候选之一。这场比赛不会容易。
This week we also have a ‘double session’, what else could it be? We have the Carabao Cup on Wednesday against Bristol City. They are having a sensational season in the Championship so far, and with a few consecutive wins lately they have proved to be one of the candidates to get promoted. It won’t be an easy game.
那场比赛的几天后我们将会在莱斯特踢连续第三场客场比赛。比赛在平安夜的前一天，所以我想要借此机会祝福大家节日快乐；我希望你们能和所爱的人一起享受圣诞节。我的家人要来曼彻斯特，所以我们会一起度过这里一年里特殊的时刻。
A few days later we will play the third away game in a row, at Leicester. It’s going to be on the day before Christmas Eve, so I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy festive season; I hope that you can enjoy Christmas with your beloved ones. My family is coming to Manchester so we will spend this special time of the year together.

I also want to congratulate Real Madrid for winning the Club World Cup, one more title to add to their amazing list of honours.

Also, I’d like to express my admiration and gratitude to Kaká, who has announced his retirement from professional football. A legend of our sport. Thank you for everything, Ricardo!
